Construction experts (m/f/d) - construction management / technical / English / GMP / SIA standards
Project: For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are looking for a construction expert
Background: The Real Estate Facility Management department is looking for a construction expert. The position covers the areas of structural and civil engineering, building envelope, interior design, construction site safety and construction site logistics. The area of responsibility includes the creation of concepts and specifications as well as the independent management of small and medium-sized projects in the role of construction manager.
The perfect candidate: has a university or technical college degree or a basic technical education with appropriate further training. In addition, he or she has at least five years of experience in construction management and in the maintenance of structural facilities. He or she has initial professional experience in quality management and building condition analysis and has very good knowledge of construction administration. Fluent German and English as well as GMP knowledge round off his or her profile.
Main tasks and areas of responsibility:
• Contribute specialist expertise to all construction issues
• Independent implementation of construction projects in the role of Mandate Construction Manager or as sub-project manager for construction
• Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of operation and maintenance of the structural facilities throughout the entire life cycle
• Responsible for quality assurance during technical execution
• Contribute to correct construction object documentation and follow-up of this
• Preparation and implementation of construction cost planning
• Responsible for the processing of orders and accounting as well as for claim management
Must Haves:
• University or technical college degree or basic technical training with appropriate further training
• At least 5 years of experience in construction management or sub-project management
• At least 5 years of experience in the maintenance/repair of structural facilities
• Initial professional experience in the field of quality management/quality assurance in construction
• Initial professional experience in carrying out building condition analyses as well as in warranty and defect management • Very good knowledge in the field of construction administration and contract management
• Very good knowledge of laws and instructions in the Swiss construction industry (e.g. SIA standards)
• Very good knowledge of German and English (oral and written)
• GMP knowledge is an advantage
