We are seeking a dynamic Technical Bid and Solution Specialist to support our bid management and solution development processes. This key role bridges technical service delivery and business development by coordinating with internal teams and contributing to the development of technical responses for customer bids. You will leverage your IT expertise to create solutions that address clients' specific needs and clearly articulate how our services deliver value.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, IT Technologies, service delivery, and will play a vital part in winning new contracts by ensuring our bid responses are comprehensive, technically sound, and aligned with client requirements
- Bid Management & Coordination: Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including service delivery, technical experts, and project managers to gather necessary information and ensure alignment of the bid response with customer requirements.
- Technical Solution Design: Develop innovative technical solutions for client bids, utilizing your deep understanding of IT infrastructure, service management (ITIL framework), and other IT technologies.
- Proposal Development: Write, edit, and proofread technical sections of proposals and bids, ensuring content is accurate, persuasive, and compliant with customer requirements.
- Solution Presentation: Create and deliver compelling presentations that effectively communicate the value of our technical solutions and service delivery approach, using tools like PowerPoint.
- Client-Centric Focus: Conduct research into client needs, competitive landscapes, and potential risks, tailoring solutions and bid responses to address specific client challenges and opportunities.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all bid submissions meet customer requirements, industry standards, and formatting guidelines. Review and improve proposal templates and boilerplate content for future use.
- Process Improvement: Continuously update and refine proposal templates, best practices, and knowledge repositories to support a more efficient bid response process.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with sales, technical experts, and business development teams to ensure alignment on proposal strategies, client goals, and solution delivery.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential risks in service delivery for bid responses and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is a plus
- Experience working in a pre-sales, solutions architect, or service delivery role within a bid or sales environment and hands on experience.
- Prior experience in responding to large-scale IT service delivery bids across industries such as government, healthcare, or enterprise IT.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bid management, technical writing, or IT service delivery, preferably within the IT services or technology industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of IT.
- Proven experience in coordinating and writing complex technical proposals and bids.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in creating compelling presentations and bid documentation using tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and government contracting standards is a plus.
- Fluency in English and German, spoken and written.
