Retail Design Project Leader
your missions
- Define and lead the store design strategy, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and global standards. Integrate innovative design trends and sustainability practices
- Oversee the creation of concept designs, layout plans, and schematic design packages for new stores, remodels, and renovations, ensuring the highest standards of design and execution
- Partner with internal teams (merchandising, operations, marketing) and external vendors (architects, engineers, consultants) to create cohesive, functional, and visually compelling retail environments
- Manage multiple store design projects simultaneously from concept to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery while maintaining high design standards
- Ensure all retail environments reflect the company’s brand identity, values, and customer experience goals, while tailoring solutions to local markets as needed
- Develop and maintain global store design playbooks, guidelines, and standards to ensure design consistency across all regions and markets
- Drive innovation in store design with a focus on sustainability, new materials, and technologies that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
your Profile
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in retail store design, space planning, and project management
- Proven expertise in designing and executing retail design projects, remodels, and new retail environments on a global scale
- Strong design portfolio showcasing expertise in retail environments
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Smartsheet or similar tools
- Experience working with sustainability principles and implementing environmentally responsible design solutions
- Exceptional communication and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and manage relationships with external vendors and partners
- Good understanding of building codes, permitting processes, and construction best practices
- Detail-oriented, problem-solver, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Creative and innovative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for retail environment design
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements
