We are looking for you to start immediately or by arrangement, in Oberwangen CH, as a
Your tasks:
Engineering support for manufacturing and assembly processes:
- Identify/troubleshoot software related problems in manufacturing and final assembly
- Design in-line test and programming stations
- Develop test scripts and interfaces for in-line equipment, and qualification runs
- Maintain lists of needed tools, equipment, testers on production sites
Engineering activities:
- Analysis and technical evaluation of system requirements, applications (C, real-time capable software) and interfaces (CAN, LIN, IPC, etc.)
- Prototyping key features and system-critical functions
- Verifying, optimizing and refactoring code
- Synchronization with other development departments and project management
- Specification and direct collaboration with suppliers for hardware components with direct interface to bike software
- Build and maintain qualitative code, unit tests and documentation
- Collaboration in the refinement of the product backlog and sprint planning
- Collaborate closely with the Software Hub in Cluj, with occasional business trips as required
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields: electrical engineering, embedded systems, technical computing and/or computer science
- At least 5 years professional experience as a developer in embedded software development with C / C++
- You have knowledge in the area of CAN-Bus and advantageously CAN in Automation (CiA) resp. CANopen & EnergyBus
- Practical experience in the field of bus systems, particularly Vector tool chain
- Ideally experience using wireless technology and related software stacks (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GSM, GPS)
- Very familiar with git, software quality metrics, automated tests (unit tests, user interface), ongoing integration and agile software development in general
- Confident in using diagnostic protocols
- Active participation in the open source community desired
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and analytics platforms is desirable
- Fluent spoken and written English (this is the team’s lingua franca), very good knowledge of German
- Willingness to work on-site in Oberwangen for several days a week
