Wealth Solutions Advisory Manager
The IPB Wealth Solutions Advisory Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Accountable for the end results of an area that includes Household Acquisition, client satisfaction measured in Net Promoter Score, increase of Assets Under Management, recruiting and building a diverse and successful sales force dedicated to the affluent Client Segment, financial planning results, and adherence to all regulatory rules and guidelines for compliance and risk management. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning in coordination with retail bank partners. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for an area including monitoring and developing a strategy to get Dedicated Sales teams to an accepted level of sales and client engagement. This Leader will conduct performance evaluations, deliver compensation decisions, responsible for all hiring decisions, disciplinary actions and terminations. The IPB Wealth Solutions Advisory Manager will be responsible for insuring firm initiatives and goals are being met and a strategy that builds on Citi and the franchise in National Investment Center.
Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for IPB Associates with direct managerial oversight of the Advisors, Wealth Relationship Managers, and other functions.
- Build, lead, manage and motivate a cohesive team of high performing centralized wealth sales professionals to meet the business goals.
- Responsible for sales performance and efficiency metrics of Retention, Acquisition, Portfolio and Outbound Telemarketing activities.
- Foster working relationships with regional and/or global sales teams to facilitate regular reporting requirements, cross country sales initiatives, reward and recognition programs, channel forums and to benchmark sales performance, share and leverage best practice.
- Benchmark sales performance and practices with Global best practice and establish links with appropriate Citi Global/Regional stakeholders to share and leverage best practice.
- Drive accountability, delivery, and execution of sales performance through internal and/or external call centers ensuring appropriate engagement and commitment to the sales vision and sales targets.
- Identify opportunities to leverage and build on existing technology infrastructure, enabling added functionality and capabilities to drive improved sales performance.
- Management of Capacity Planning process for Wealth Solution Advisors and retention to ensure the right amount of people are available at the right time to maximize return on campaign investment.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulatory guidelines, and in all internal and external dealings with customers, partners and regulators.
- Fulfilling the clients’ necessities while providing an exceptional client experience is the expected behavior from all our employees and it will be measured by specific metrics.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 6 – 10 years relevant experience.
- Spanish and/or Portuguese speaking preferred
- Robust investment and insurance sales & Management experience.
- Recruiting Success demonstrated in Financial Sales teams with prior investment/insurance sales management required.
- Required FINRA Licenses: SIE, Series 7, Series 9 & 10, Series 66 (63 + 65).
- Life, annuity, and health insurance license.
- Demonstrated knowledge of consumer banking and investment products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Proactive leadership and motivational skills.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven influencing and relationship management skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.
This role can offer a Hybrid working arrangement; however, Hybrid status depends on several regulatory factors.

$64,000.00 - $96,000.00
