Business Development Manager - Service 80-100% (f/m/d)
Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits and replacements.
Join our team! We are seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Business Development Manager to join the Service Management Team. In this role you are responsible for strategy development and execution for a sizeable and fast-growing Service Business. You will be driving key initiatives to bring the business unit to the next level and act as a sparring partner for the General Manager. You have a proven track record in identifying new business opportunities, driving revenue growth and a solid understanding of a Service business. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical, execution and communication skills.
Your responsibilities
Lead the strategy development process and ensure effective strategy deployment
Identify and develop new service business growth areas through market & competitor research, installed base analysis, customer interactions and networking
Implement own strategic initiatives to achieve company goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives, coach initiative leaders and monitor progress
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential areas for growth
Your background
Master’s degree in business administration, Marketing or Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, product management a/o a related role
Proven track record of achieving business development targets and driving business growth
Strong analytical, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP (S/4 HANA) and CRM software (Salesforce.com) of advantage
Proficiency in English. German language skills are an advantage
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
