Accounts Payable Global Lead
The Opportunity
We are looking for anAccounts Payable Global Lead to join CSL’s Financial Shared Service Centre in Liverpool.
Reporting to the Executive Director Global Accounting Operations you will be Part of the Procure to Purchase (PTP) team and responsible for managing the Accounts Payable Global function.
Main Accountabilities
Manage outside provider to deliver quality accounts payable services – to be measured with KPI’s and feedback from the Business
Lead the implementation of new AP policies, common processes and tools – on an enterprise-wide basis across Behring, Seqirus, and Vifor (for entities in scope)
Drive continuous improvement with Process Leads – and work with Finance Innovation to seek additional support where required.
Contribute to the development and delivery of global STP process strategy to ensure Account Payable processes that are increasingly efficient and compliant.
Work with the STP lead and outsource provider to define and manage the governance framework, and KPIs to monitor end to end performance
Address issues escalated from the regional process managers and outsourced provider team
Lead, motivate and develop employees within the team including long-term talent development and succession planning. Manage performance with a focus on meeting service agreements and continuously enhancing Finance staff, while role modelling CSL Values
Coordinate and influence Procurement colleagues on Accounts Payable initiatives that impact across functions
Set and drive strategy for accounts payable across Behring, Seqirus, and Vifor with a short term and long-term focus
Your Skills & Experience
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field required
10+ years’ experience in accounting and finance, including experience in Accounting Operations, specifically within Accounts Payable process
Experience in leading and managing a team
Strong analytical thinking and organisational agility
The ability to think through complex issues
Collaborate effectively with multiple levels and cross functionally within Finance
Proven experience in process improvement and leading global change
Preferred Requirements
Professional certification (CPA/CMA) preferred
Experience in global scientific/pharmaceutical industry highly desirable
Experience managing external providers of services highly desirable.
This role is based out of our Financial Shared Service Centre, Speke, Liverpool.
Hybrid role: Office based Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
