Hardware Development Engineer for Global Engineering for Assembly & Testing

As a Development Engineer in the Industrial Engineering, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, maintaining, and standardizing solutions specifically dedicated for assembly line and end-of-line testing equipment. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, quality, and reliability of manufacturing processes.
YOUR CHALLENGES
- Full Lifecycle Assembly & EOL-testing Devices Development:
- Execute the entire development life cycle for automated and system-controlled assembly and End-of-Line testing devices (focus: electronics hardware & software).
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to gather user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and implement technical solutions that meet industry standards and comply with best practices.
- Project Management and Documentation:
- Write well-designed and correct technical specification sheets that fulfill CE-Conformity Levels.
- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
- Integrate electric & electronic components into a fully functional system.
- Create verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Optimize and upgrade existing solutions.
- Document and maintain functionality and technical definitions.
- Evaluate user feedback and deploy necessary updates.
- Provide 3rd level support to local sites
YOUR COMPENTENCIES
- Experience as a Process Engineer or Development Engineer ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in topics related to connectivity of manufacturing equipment and logistics systems.
- Automation of Assembly and End-of-Line testing processes.
- Experience in cross functional project management.
- A bachelor’s degree in electric or electronic science, Engineering, or a related field, master’s degree is an asset.
- Proficiency in development processes and methods.
- Excellent knowledge of electronics and electrics.
- Good communication skills in English and German.
- Knowledge of software and data storage processes is beneficial.
