[Summary]
An experienced professional in the scientific/technology field who is recognized as an expert in medical science. Plays a key role in implementing innovative solutions for the medical science department. Takes the lead in designing and conducting research studies, gathering data from real-life situations. Acts as a bridge between the medical science and data analytics teams, providing necessary information to external stakeholders.
[Key responsibilities]
- Provide epidemiological or statistical expertise at all stages of the design and implementation of real-world evidence (RWE) studies from planning and design through to completion, in close collaboration with Therapeutic Areas (TAs):
- Contribute to the concept, design, and development of protocols to ensure the use of appropriate and scientific methods in study design and analysis.
- Engage in discussions on fit-for-purpose RWE databases and study design, partnering with cross-functional teams to align evidence-generation
- Develop or review statistical analysis plans and perform or guide analyses.
- Provide insight in the interpretation and discussion of study results.
- Contribute to completing study reports and publications.
- Provide overall management of descriptive and comparative effectiveness studies using various data sources, including patient-level data from prospective and retrospective observational studies, registries, secondary databases (claims and EMR databases), and post-hoc analyses of clinical trial data across different therapeutic areas.
- Provide thought leadership in epidemiology or statistics, ensuring the scientific validity and overall quality and accuracy of study results.
- Communicate generated evidence through internal and external presentations and publications.
[Requirement]
- Master's degree or higher in pharmacy, epidemiology or statistics.
- At least 5-6 (Sr.: 3-4) years of experience in clinical study design, statistical analysis, and writing study protocols/analysis plans/results/manuscripts for evidence generation.
-(i.e.) Experience in designing and performing RWE generation based on non-interventional studies or large and complex secondary databases in a pharmaceutical environment using excellent knowledge in clinical studies.
- Preferred - Advanced hands-on experience with statistical programming in SAS and/or R and experience in advanced data analytics of large and complex secondary databases and traditional statistical models (e.g., mixed model, GEE or machine/deep learning)
- Ability to communicate analysis plans and results in non-technical terms.
- Analytical and creative mindset with a can-do attitude, intellectual curiosity, eagerness for continuous learning, and passion for translating data into business-critical evidence.
- Good track record of publishing research work in international academic journals.
