As a Project Manager for Automation and Integration, you will play a pivotal role in driving Hitachi Energy's Industry 4.0 transformation by steering the comprehensive planning, execution, and evaluation of complex automation projects across the manufacturing landscape. You will spearhead the implementation of innovative smart factory technologies, ensuring their seamless integration with existing systems and processes to optimize operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Together with our engineers you will build cross-functional teams enabling the implementation of our Industry 4.0 vision and contributing to our overall production performance.
How you’ll make an impact
Define Project Specifications: Proactively define project specifications, aligning them with strategic targets and our growing product portfolio, considering smart factory principles and advanced automation technologies
Collaborate on Concepts: Work with machine suppliers, internal teams, and external partners at a conceptual level to ensure project concepts align with Industry 4.0 principles and automation best practices
Manage Finances: Take ownership of project finances and budgets, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, and considering the economic impact of projects in alignment with Hitachi Energy's financial goals
Monitor Progress: Proactively monitor progress against targets, identify and mitigate potential roadblocks, and resolve issues as they arise
Integrate Automation Solutions: Collaborate with computer integrated manufacturing teams to integrate automation solutions, ensuring seamless data exchange and operational efficiency
Your background
Educational Background: Degree in engineering, preferably in industrial automation, system engineering, or a related discipline, with a strong focus on advanced automation technologies and Industry 4.0 concepts
Team Leadership: Proven experience in motivating cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and achieving project goals within specified timelines and budgets
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues during project implementation, and adapt rapidly to evolving technologies and business situations
Project Management: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects from concept to implementation, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Experience in semiconductor assembly or testing is desirable
Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile project management methodologies is a plus
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Language Proficiency: English/German proficiency at levels C1/B1 or B2/C1
