Quality Engineer (m/w/d)

Candidate profile:

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of high-frequency, fiber optic, and low-frequency technologies, including the specific quality challenges associated with each area.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns and trends, and utilize findings to drive quality improvements and resolve issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in inspections, documentation, and process evaluations to ensure accuracy and high-quality outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, customers, and suppliers. Ability to convey technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive and solution-oriented approach to identifying and addressing complex quality issues, with a focus on practical and sustainable solutions.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee quality initiatives and improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
  • Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment, understanding and navigating different cultural and operational contexts.

Job responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Development and Implementation: Design, implement, and oversee quality assurance processes and systems to ensure that products meet the stringent requirements of internal standards and industry regulations.
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and testing of components and systems, including high-frequency, fiber optic, and low-frequency products, to validate their performance, durability, and compliance with specifications.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and address quality issues in production, ensuring timely and effective resolution to prevent product defects and enhance overall quality.

Compliance and Certification:

  • Standards Adherence: Ensure that all products and processes comply with relevant international standards and certifications, such as 9100 /16949 and similar.
  • Audit Preparation: Prepare for and participate in audits conducted by external certification bodies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Keep up-to-date with changes in industry standards and regulations.

Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:

  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into quality issues.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Innovation: Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to integrate quality considerations into the design and development phases of new products and technologies.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with engineering, production, and research teams to ensure that quality requirements are seamlessly integrated into product design, development, and manufacturing processes.
  • Global Coordination: Maintain effective communication with international teams and stakeholders, providing support and addressing quality concerns to ensure consistent quality practices across global operations.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Metrics and KPIs: Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of quality initiatives, and measure the impact on overall product quality.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on quality performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), for review by management.

Customer and Supplier Interaction:

  • Issue Resolution: Manage and resolve quality-related issues with customers and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to address and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Supplier Audits: Conduct audits and assessments of suppliers.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Procedural Documentation: Ensure that all quality-related documentation is up-to-date and adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Records: Ensure proper management and archiving of quality records to support traceability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.
