The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. IPACS & Governance Coordinator
Imagine being at the forefront of the fight against corruption in sports, ensuring integrity and good governance in every aspect of the International Partnership Against Corruption in Sport (IPACS). As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the IPACS Steering Committee and Task Forces to develop content, prepare guidelines, and coordinate essential documents.
Your day begins with preparing and coordinating content for Task Forces, Steering Committee meetings, and the Annual General Conference, ensuring that all events promoting IPACS are well-organized and impactful. By mid-morning, you're updating the IPACS Roadmap of events, incorporating input from various stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned. In the afternoon, you monitor the follow-up of IPACS outcomes and actions, proposing improvements to enhance its effectiveness and ensure its recommendations stay current.
Beyond events, you will liaise and coordinate with Olympic Movement stakeholders, keeping them updated on IPACS developments and incorporating their feedback into Task Force work. Your role extends to assisting in the organization of meetings and conference calls, preparing necessary documents, making logistical arrangements, and managing the IPACS website with the help of IT experts. Additionally, you will produce content for the periodic Integrity Newsletter for the Ethics & Compliance team.
Your responsibilities also include supporting the Olympic Movement in promoting ethical and good governance principles. You will aid in implementing the Basic Universal Principles of Good Governance, provide support to sports organizations on governance topics, and promote actions to improve integrity measures. Furthermore, you will contribute to the IOC recognition process for sports organizations, proposing and coordinating improvements with internal and external stakeholders.
In your role, you'll perform research tasks, analytical work, and general support for the Ethics, Compliance, and Governance Manager and the IOC Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. This includes maintaining an overview of integrity topics in sports, compiling and reviewing related research, articles, and studies, and supporting day-to-day operations as needed.
Education, Language, and IT Competences:
University degree (preferably in law) or equivalent experience in a similar role in an international or multinational company.
Experience within the sports movement, intergovernmental agency, or government is a plus.
Fluency in English or French, with excellent writing and speaking skills in the other language.
Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and their potentials/challenges is desirable.
