Sr. Director, Employee Relations, HR Compliance & US Domestic Immigration

Reports To: Vice President, Global People Operations
Job Summary: The Senior Director will be responsible for leading the team that is designing processes for and providing strategic guidance on employee relations matters and local labor law compliance. This role will ensure fair treatment and consistent application of disciplinary actions, creating an environment where employees feel valued and respected. This leader will play a key role in enabling a high performing & engaging culture through proactive support of HR initiatives led by the Talent and Total Rewards teams, in addition to the HR Business Partners. This leader will also oversee the team responsible for ensuring compliance with government agencies and select national government programs. Finally, this role will oversee the team responsible for leading the company’s domestic immigration program.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the global team that will provide consistent advice and counseling to employees at all levels of the organization to minimize organizational conflict and drive behaviors consistent with BD’s values and the local laws.
Develop and execute a strategy that expands the centralized employee relations model across the BD enterprise to facilitate positive culture and business outcomes.
Leverage data analytics to influence function and business processes, policies, and strategies to (directly or indirectly) build manager/individual contributor capability and help reduce unwanted turnover and improve employee engagement and organizational performance.
Be a trusted advisor to senior business and HR leaders; Provide direct coaching, lead complex employee relations issues, and offer unique insights to aid leaders in improving the team's culture and performance.
Collaborate with internal and external legal advisors, as needed, to develop policies and procedures to minimize risk.
Oversee the HR compliance team to ensure consistent compliance set by select government agencies such as Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Oversee the HR compliance team responsible for ensuring reports are maintained in accordance with government laws and internal company policies for programs such as Affirmative Action Plans, EEO-1, and VETS 4212.
Oversee the team responsible for leading the company’s domestic immigration program by providing internal client consulting and support to foreign national associates and new hires across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Identify process opportunities and/or leverage technology to drive efficiency in the operating model to create capacity for team members.
Identify opportunities to meet/exceed customer expectations while simultaneously support team member engagement and enable career growth.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proven ability to lead and develop a high performing team.
Education and Experience:
At least 10 years of related experience required, including three years of management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred.

$181,300.00 - $326,300.00 USD Annual
