Plant cell culture is applied as an alternative to conventional agriculture to generate food and food ingredients. Our current focus lies on the products cocoa and coffee. We are looking for a laboratory assistant to support our plant cell culture team. You will be responsible for the handling and maintenance of plant cell cultures in our R&D laboratory. You will perform, document, analyze and report on the cell line maintenance and experiments independently as an integral part of a team.

Your tasks:

• Maintenance of plant cell cultures from various species
• Preparation of cell culture media
• Quality control of cell lines and culture media
• Creating documents for standard operating procedures
• Organization of orders with external service providers
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment

Your qualifications:

• Finished technical apprenticeship ideally in Biology or equivalent qualification
• Experience with sterile working techniques is a plus
• Experience in handling of plant cell cultures is a plus
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Strong communication and excellent organizational skills
• Team player and willing to learn new skills
