Test Engineer, Test Manager
Contract
We are looking for a senior test engineer to work with our testing manager and other testing SMEs and resources on a SAP migration project within a data centre migration program. You will be the leading test engineer for the SAP migration project, identifying, creating, documenting, and executing various test scenarios and cases.
You should be experienced in working on complex projects and collaborating with diverse teams, working towards a common goal. You will be expected to be keenly focused on delivery.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop test scenarios, cases and plan, and document them in Xray
- Track and report on testing KPIs including defects, tracking
- Ensure project scope is appropriately covered by suitable test cases
- Coordinate test data creation, updating and gathering activities for the project
- Support in UAT activities
- Collaborate with the project team to get the project delivered on time, within budget and in scope
- Collaborate with the project team in sharing and mitigating risks and issues
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, including 3rd party suppliers w.r.t. testing and quality assurance activities
- Participate regularly in project management alignment meetings
- Execute in line with the project’s communications plan
- Provide status reporting on test cases, plans, execution and metrics
- Manage project expectations in collaboration with the project manager
- Develop a sufficiently deep technical understanding to be able to interact with required business and IT subject matter experts
- Work closely with diverse teams and departments, in particular in our data centre migration project team, to deliver on IT solutions for business
Your Profile:
- You have an engineering or information technology degree, or equivalent proven practical experience
- 6+ years of IT testing experience, particularly in SAP migration projects
- At least one project experience in the context of: SAP ECC 6.0 and HANA database refactoring on AWS EC2 (on premise->AWS native)
- A proven track record delivering for challenging projects within the testing function
- Good experience in the energy and/or trading industry would be a strong plus
- Testing (management) certification, classical and/or agile
- Good knowledge of agile methodologies and tools, and the software development lifecycle
- Good understanding of DevOps processes and tools would be a strong plus
- Good understanding of cloud and infrastructure technologies (e.g. AWS/Azure cloud, networks, data centres etc.) would be a strong plus
- Good understanding of IT security (active directory, PEN testing, Identity & Access Management etc.) would be a plus
- You demonstrate high performance with the ability to navigate quickly between high and detailed levels, have a proactive mindset and are quickly able to get into hands-on work where needed
- You work in a collaborative way and have good stakeholder management skills
- Your working style is characterised by a strong customer focus, being results orientated, great collaboration, strong planning & organizational skills, and excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English, additionally German and/or French would be a strong plus
