Engineer in Development and Design of Superconducting Magnets
- Technical design (based on a conceptual design study), construction, and commissioning of a superconducting magnet with its cryostat
- Solving detailed problems in mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic design; demonstrating solutions in hardware
- Further development of a semi-automatic winding machine for project realisation
- Collaboration with ETH Zurich on the system integration of power electronics
- MSc or PhD degree in applied physics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering
- You enjoy looking for innovative solutions to difficult R&D problems and have experience with superconducting magnets and/or cryogenics
- You have experience in CAD-design (preferably CATIA V5/6)
- Confident communication in English and interest in working in an international environment
