Engineer in Design and Simulation of Superconducting Magnets

- Conceptional design (electromagnetic, mechanical ) of innovative high-field magnets for the Future Circular Collider with LTS (low-temperature superconductor) and HTS (high-temperature superconductor) technology
- Development of manufacturing processes (coil winding, soldering, insulation, impregnation) to ensure the manufacturability of a chosen design
- Instrumentation plan, design of experiment and analysis of test results
- MSc or PhD degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, or mechanical engineering
- Experience with superconducting magnets, ideally accelerator magnets and in handling multi-physics design software such as ANSYS or COMSOL
- Confident communication in English and interest in teamwork in an international environment
