Head of Business Engagement

The Head of Business Engagement at DTX leads a team responsible for effective collaboration between business Group Functions/Regions and the DTX organization. This role ensures strategic and tactical alignment of digital service portfolios, driving operational efficiency, automated processes, improved service quality, and enhanced internal customer satisfaction. The Head of Business Engagement develops a mid-term digital technology investment roadmap and a yearly plan to support it, enabling Business Functions and Regions to accelerate growth and profitability. Serving as the primary interface between DTX and the business, this role ensures a comprehensive focus on the DTX services lifecycle, aligning initiatives with business goals from inception to execution.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Business Engagement Team: Manage the team, including line management and budget responsibilities, ensuring strong business relationships and effective project portfolios.
  • Develop Strategic Roadmap: Create and maintain a multi-year strategy execution and service roadmap aligned with business and DTX priorities.
  • Foster Digital Culture: Promote a digital culture that supports the company's transformation efforts, driving innovation and growth.
  • Collaborate with Senior Stakeholders: Work with senior leaders to address business process improvements and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide Technology and Business Advice: Offer expert advice on technology and business processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Manage Business Improvement Projects: Oversee a project portfolio that drives desired change and process innovation in line with company strategy.
  • Ensure Efficient Service Delivery: Ensure digital services are delivered efficiently and comply with policies and standards.
  • Drive Change Management: Act as a change agent, developing and communicating a comprehensive change strategy to support digital transformation.
  • Establish Performance Metrics: Define KPIs to measure the impact of digital initiatives on efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Support DTX Functions: Guide and challenge DTX functions to incorporate business context into their operations, ensuring an end-to-end focus
Requirements
  • Education: Business or Scientific degree with expertise in Manufacturing, Information Technology, and/or Industrial Engineering; Project Management: Education and experience in project management; Preferred: Six Sigma / Lean / SPC or other business process performance / continuous improvement education.
  • Minimum of 10 years in business process improvement, IT/digitalization, and business process projects, preferably in the mineral or bulk material processing industry.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align digital initiatives with business strategies and objectives.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business functions and processes, with the ability to identify opportunities for digital transformation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Change Management: Experience in driving organizational change and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Broad knowledge of IT/OT systems, technologies, and trends, with the ability to assess their impact on business operations.
  • Languages: Proficiency in multiple languages is preferred; must have negotiation-level English skills.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel 15-20%
