Position Summary
The Sales and Marketing Lead APAC Distributor Countries is responsible to provide effective leadership to the APAC team and to the Distributor Countries in this Region. The role also support Indirect Markets Director, in defining the strategic direction to expand Exact Science presence in Asia Pacific Area.
The Sales and Marketing Lead APAC is key to leverage relationships with key opinion leaders in the fields of cancer treatment to enlist their assistance in initiating programs and activities which will promote appropriate adoption and reimbursement of Exact Sciences technologies in cancer treatment.
The position reports to the Director Indirect Markets International and works in close cooperation with Market Access, Marketing and Medical to manage activities in the Region.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Sales and Marketing experience in commercializing Oncology/diagnostic products and/or Medical Devices (especially for that regarding APAC territories) combined with a proven direct involvement and track record in driving performance and deliver results in a timely and efficient manner.
The place of work is Remote in Singapore, until Exact Sciences office is established. The position will be a contractor until the office is established.
Essential duties
Include but are not limited to
- Provide leadership to the APAC team and to the Distributor Countries in the Region.
- Support Indirect Markets Director, in defining the strategy needed to expand Exact Science presence in APAC.
- Establish effective governance mechanisms of distribution partners.
- Define priorities, timelines and overall business plan in line with the high level strategy for the Region defined together with his/her supervisor.
- Conduct continuous assessment of the local business opportunities, establish the key goals in prioritized markets and support the development of the Business plan with focus on the key markets.
- Delivers profitable sales through the effective use of resources to ensure sales targets are achieved/exceeded demonstrating personal accountability.
- Keeps abreast of market and environmental changes by gathering competitive intelligence and provide input to the overall long range and operating corporate plans.
- Ensures the respect of the identified metrics targets in order to keep sales activities under control identifying key issues and performing the actions needed to achieve business goals.
- Develops and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and professional organizations in the Region.
- Work closely with the Team (Marketing, Training, Medical Affairs, Communication and Market access), to support the execution of the business plan:
- Coordinate the execution of the AOP/LRP at local level and Partner with Finance to execute pricing strategy.
- Work with International Training Lead to implement local training programs
- Support local Market Access opportunities in collaboration with the Market Access Mgr
- Ensure the right Medical Affairs support through the involvement of the Medical Affairs team
- Collaborate with the key functions to define materials needed and how they can be implemented.
- Travel Requirements: 50%+ Travel
Minimum requirements
- Experience in managing distributors especially in the APAC Countries
- Pharma/Med and/or Diagnostic experience preferably in the Oncology or related therapeutic areas
- Track-record in commercial roles such as sales, key account management, sales leadership, sales training, and marketing
- Proven large territory/large account management skills
- Results orientation and business acumen
- Ability to work with cross-functional departments in an international environment
- University Degree or equivalent.
- Problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage complex tasks and to meet deadlines
- Brings a positive mental attitude to daily tasks
- Strategic thinker with potential for advancement as the Company grows.
- Entrepreneurial spirit; a self-starter
- English fluency; other languages a plus
- PC, MS Office skills
