The increasing quantity and complexity of regulatory requirements in European energy markets pose a challenge for market participants like Alpiq. We are currently looking for a Regulatory Analyst (80-100%) in order to strengthen our regulatory monitoring in Switzerland and across Europe. This role is to be based at our offices in Olten or Lausanne, Switzerland, and reports to our Head Regulatory.
Your main responsibilities
- Monitor power, gas and hydrogen market regulations in Alpiq's core markets
- Support senior regulatory team members in maneuvering Alpiq through Swiss energy market changes
- Support senior regulatory team member representing Alpiq externally in public consultations to EU/ministries/TSOs/market operators/energy exchanges
- Advice other internal functions on regulatory topics (e.g. Public Affairs, Communications, Back Office, Legal & Compliance)
Your profile
- Completed education in business administration, political science, engineering or law
- Some years of hands-on expertise in a regulatory environment in the energy sector
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Pragmatic, analytical and detail-oriented
- Fluency in German and English required, French a plus
