Job Title: System Engineer – Ice & Rain Protection System (f/m/d)
Location: Airport Oberpfaffenhofen (20 minutes west of Central Munich)

Our client, a leading aircraft manufacturer with a rich history and an ambitious future, is looking for a System Engineer specializing in Ice & Rain Protection Systems. Key Responsibilities
As a System Engineer for Ice & Rain Protection Systems, you will:
Design and Modify Protection Systems: Lead the architecture, sizing, and modification of ice and rain protection systems to ensure optimal performance under various conditions.
Conduct Impingement Analysis: Perform impingement analysis to evaluate how ice and rain impact the aircraft, ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of protection systems.
Prepare Technical Documentation: Develop specifications, drawings, bills of material, and other type design documents essential for the system’s development and certification.
Assess Safety at All Levels: Conduct comprehensive safety analyses at both the system and equipment levels to ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations.
Support Testing Phases: Assist in the planning and execution of qualification, ground, and flight test activities, ensuring that the systems meet all operational and safety requirements.
Prepare Compliance Documentation: Develop Part 21J compliance documentation (MOC 0-9), ensuring that all systems align with relevant regulatory standards.
Conduct Technical Trade Studies: Perform technical trade studies to identify the best possible solutions for ice and rain protection, balancing safety, performance, and cost.
Collaborate with External Suppliers: Serve as the primary point of contact for external equipment suppliers, managing technical discussions and ensuring that all requirements are met.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Master’s Degree or Diplomingenieur in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- More than 5 years of experience working with ice and rain protection systems.
- Proven experience in the development of at least one aircraft program.
- Strong knowledge of ARP-4754 and ARP-4761 standards.
- Familiarity with EASA Part 21J and CS/FAR 25 regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach with strong technical and analytical skills.
