Your Role
The Human Capital Management Platforms department is one of six strategic units within the Corporate IT area Digital Experience Platforms. We are responsible for the implementation, operation and further development of the central HR platforms at ZEISS and use them to map the entire employee life-cycle, from recruitment/training to people development, training and health management, right through to leaving the company and the company pension scheme. Serve as a Workday application developer to implement and optimize Workday Extend applications as well as integrations. Should be work closely with the Workday Architect to customize and develop new solutions. Support day-to-day business as usual items. Prepare and maintain Workday user documentation. Responsible for regular analysis of new features and deployment of semi-annual workday releases. Work in a global environment and prioritizing urgent requirements. Your Role:
Act as a Workday Technical developer and involve in an agile Workday Extend and Interface development
Identify the new use cases and program the applications that features the new business needs
Involves in configuring custom Business objects and custom Business process
Involves in the application improvement, including applying changes, Testing and releasing the new features to live system
Work on issue resolution, make recommendations for workarounds and proactively identify business process improvement opportunities
Actively engage in problem management, identifying recurring patterns in incidents, raising problem records, documenting known errors, investigating root causes and resolution paths
Perform agreed Workday configuration, Test the changes as result of bug fixes, enhancement/change requests, and introduction of new functionality and ensures relevant documentation is updated
Your Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science or Related Field of study
Experience in Application implementation methodology and Application support life-cycle
Experience in JSON, XML, SQL, JavaScript, and other application development experience
Functional understanding and knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and processes
Affinity for cloud-based technology and solutions, keen to learn new skills
Prior experience working in large scale global environment dealing with complex project requirements and multiple stakeholders
Strong project management and organizational capabilities; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German
Solution-oriented mindset and good understanding of processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
