Web Development and Marketing Internship

MaxWell Biosystems is an electronics-focused biotech company based in Zürich, Switzerland, developing and selling high-content electrophysiology platforms to help our customers in the pharmaceutical industry and in academia make their drug discovery and research more efficient. We seek highly motivated and talented individuals who will contribute to shaping our future.

As an innovative and forward-thinking company, we are working on strongly connecting with the scientific community via our digital platforms (website, social media, engaging digital events, and other activities). As we are driving forward a new website and currently working on the migration and launch, we are seeking a driven Web Development and Marketing Intern to advance our initiatives and help keep our current site up-to-date with content. Bring your marketing knowledge, expertise for WordPress, and curiosity for science and technology, and join the Marketing team to help us elevate our digital footprint.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the migration and launch of our current website content to a new platform, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime.
• Help troubleshoot and optimize WordPress features to enhance user experience and site performance.
• Regularly update the website with fresh content, including event details, product promotions, and webinars.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create and implement strategies for social media and online events.
• Support the Marketing team daily on various projects, communications, and outreach activities.
• Propose new ideas to strengthen MaxWell Biosystems’ branding.
• Report directly to our Scientific Communications Specialist.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply marketing principles in a digital context.
• Experience with WordPress DIVI, including themes, plugins, and general site management.
• Ability to think creatively and solve problems related to website functionality and content.
• Fluent in English.
• Work experience as a Marketing or Business assistant/associate is a plus.
• Experience with Digital Marketing tools (Google Analytics, Google Adwords, etc.) is a plus.
• Creative development experience, including graphic and video editing tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva) is a plus.
• Interest and/or exposure to life sciences in general is a plus.
• Enthusiastic, dynamic, proactive person who thinks outside the box and has a growth mindset.
