You will join the IT department and lead three teams that will drive IT stack automation, governance and architecture. This is an exciting opportunity to create and steer the long term vision for an entire department. The challenge includes changing the culture and fostering a culture of reliability, pragmatic engineering and customer oriented service.

We are looking for a strong leader that will lead IT architecture teams and influence the company through their initiatives. You must have strong delegation and stewardship skills and be ready to coordinate work across teams with different skills, while leveraging architects and engineers to accomplish the department and company’s mission.

You will report to the director of IT and help form strategies to match IT posture and capabilities, high level company business goals and internal customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a Service Owner, designing and mapping key performance indicators to achieve the organization’s mission.
• Lead definition of requirements, priorities and planning of engineering deliverables.
• Lead your teams and set the example in IT-appropriate agile practices, ensuring full transparency in work and a focus on achievable deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory team requirements.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures related to IT architecture and governance.
• Engage with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Communicate architectural concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum:

• 8+ years in critical systems management experience, combining Hardware, Operating Systems or Software
• 5+ years experience building and leading engineering teams; ideally with direct operational production experience
• A proven track record of eliminating toil and assisting teams by lightning administrative and manual load while leveraging cross-functional engineering assets.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working with multi-functional technical and business teams, along with different levels of management to influence decision making

Ideally:

• Understanding of Industry standards in monitoring, alerting, budgeting, capacity planning and common reliability concepts.
• 2+ years of experience within Swissquote with working relationships with key players in management and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in management and use of public or private cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Canonical CDK, Redhat Openshift, OpenStack).
