Lufthansa Aviation Training Switzerland AG (LAT CH), with a total of around 300 employees, is part of the Lufthansa Aviation Training Group. At the LAT Training Center in Zurich-Opfikon, around 8’000 graduates undergo their initial and further training as cockpit and cabin crews every year. This also includes basic pilot training at the European Flight Academy in Zurich (theory) and Grenchen (practice). Tasks
On an hourly wage basis, the following tasks are part of the daily work routine:
- Teaching the subject of "Meteorology" to prospective airline pilots at various training levels, including ATPL
- In-depth teaching of theoretical knowledge required for the safe operation of aircraft and navigation in the air
- Promoting e-learning initiatives to use innovative teaching methods and optimize training
- Contribute to the creation of teaching materials and methods to continuously improve the educational process
Requirements
- Completed studies in the field of "meteorology", "geography with a focus on meteorology" or "atmospheric physics"
- Teaching experience with young adults
- Very good didactic and pedagogical skills to convey complex topics in an understandable way
- High level of initiative and a goal-oriented approach to ensure the educational success of our trainees
- Very good knowledge of German and English at C1 level
- Knowledge of learning management systems is an advantage
