In the high-power laboratory in Baden, prototypes of high-voltage equipment are tested for their suitability in short-circuit tests. The test engineer plans and conducts tests in the high-power laboratory. They are responsible for timely quotation preparation, efficient and correct test execution according to scientific methods (standard-compliant test execution and evaluation), documentation, and reporting for the assigned tests, as well as for efficient operation of the test and measuring equipment. During the tests, they ensure compliance with the permissible limit values of the system and the safety of all personnel involved.
Your Responsibilities
Planning and execution of electrical power tests including the coordination of test setups
Planning and definition of the test program and evaluation criteria taking into account relevant test standards and customer specifications
Design and verification of test circuits and test arrangements as well as the setting of system values.
Creation of ongoing documentation according to the quality guidelines and instructions
Creation and checking of test protocols and test reports.
Maintenance, expansion, and improvement of the department's IT tools as well as measuring equipment and recording devices
Creation of customer offers and the correct billing of the tests performed
Supervision, planning, and coordination of internal projects to improve and further develop the high-power laboratory
Your Profile
Completed education in electrical engineering, preferably high-voltage technology or equivalent working experience
Preferably experience in test laboratory operation, measurement technology, and safe handling of electricity
Good communication skills in German ( at least B1 level ) and English
Goal oriented team player with diligent work style
