Technical Accounting Specialist 80-100% (m/f/d)
Your challenges
- Lead the operational execution and management accounting and reporting processes, including setting standards, validating subsidiary reports, and preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Serve as an expert in specific technical accounting areas such as ASC 606 revenue recognition, goodwill, intangible assets, and provisions for the industrial sector.
- Conduct detailed technical accounting research, drafting memos for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver internal and external training programs on accounting and reporting standards.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting, executing control activities as per company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Uphold values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions and fostering a positive work environment.
Your skills
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent (e.g., ACCA) with at least six years of experience in technical accounting and financial reporting under US GAAP and SEC guidelines.
- Extensive experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or a multinational industrial company.
- Proven track record in managing finance projects, particularly those involving significant changes or transitions.
- Skilled in delivering training and workshops on technical accounting topics.
- Fluent in English, with additional languages being an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, capable of providing clear and concise guidance across various levels of the organization.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, demonstrating diplomacy and persistence in resolving issues.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
- Willingness to collaborate virtually with global teams.
