We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Client as a Country Tax Manager. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the tax positions of multiple countries within the EMEA, Asiapac, and LATAM regions. You will contribute to the global tax strategy, forcasting and planning, oversee tax projects, and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage income tax accounting and reporting for designated Regional Countries, including quarterly tax rate reviews, EBT forecasts, and provision tax calculations according to ASC 740.
  • Support Regional Countries in their annual income tax return filings and review return to provision (RTP) calculations post-filing.
  • Collaborate with local controllers and advisors to ensure timely completion of statutory accounts.
  • Oversee withholding tax payments and reporting requirements for Regional Countries.
  • Develop a deep understanding of operational entities within Regional Countries, fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Navigate and interpret Switzerland and Regional countries' tax laws, including income tax, withholding tax, and stamp duty tax.
  • Actively participate in tax planning initiatives specific to Regional Countries.
  • Manage and engage in local income tax audits within Regional Countries.
  • Monitor legislative changes impacting company operations in Regional Countries.
  • Review and ensure compliance with new tax requirements under the Pillar II tax regime for Regional Countries.
Functie-eisen
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Accounting, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Big 4 tax advisory role or in-house tax management within an international setting, preferably with a US-headquartered corporation.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Solid knowledge of Swiss tax compliance practices and relevant legal regulations.
  • Basic understanding of tax accounting principles and local accounting practices.
  • Proactive and self-initiated with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret technical tax documents and identify strategic opportunities.
  • Excellent project management skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Preferred: Switzerland Certified Tax Expert or Auditor, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with Corptax software or similar tools (Alteryx, PowerBI).
