System Engineer
your Mission
- Design and implement virtualization solutions based on business requirements and best practices
- Configure and manage hypervisors (e.g., VMware)
- Design and implement virtual networking, storage, and resource allocation strategies
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning for virtualized environments
- Design and implement VDI solutions based on business requirements and best practices
- Configure and manage Omnissa Horizon infrastructure
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning for VDI infrastructure
- Design and implement storage solutions for virtualized environments (e.g., SAN, NAS)
- Manage storage provisioning, allocation and performance optimization
- Implement data protection and disaster recovery strategies for storage
- Manage projects and initiatives related to IT System VSI and VDI, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
- Diagnose and resolve VSI, VDI, Storage, backup issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software upgrades and firmware updates
- Monitor our infrastructure performance and identify potential bottlenecks
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other teams, such as network, cloud, security, and development, to support cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation, configurations, procedures, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure continuity of operations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the IT network environment
your profile
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and concepts
- Experience with server hardware, networking, and storage systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in virtualization technologies and VDI (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Omnissa) is preferred
- ITIL certification is necessary
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet)
- Client & Service centrix
- French and English necessary
