Your tasks:
Develop C/C++ programs for Linux for a high volume, low latency environment
Database and SQL query design for performance optimization, migrate IMS definitions
Write and review product documentation
Determine and design operational requirements and interfaces
Define test methods and create test plans in conjunction with QA
Write unit and integration tests
Maintain communication with other developers
Your profile:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related
Strong C/C++, OO skills and desire to learn and utilize modern programming features and strategies (over 20 years)
Excellent knowledge of migrating IMS definitions, IMS utility, COBOL, 370 assembler (over 20 years)
Experience with Linux systems, database systems, SQL programming and bash scripting
Experience with git or other source control system
Familiar with high-volume, large-scale, parallel architectures with high data integrity
Exposure to Enterprise Computing
Self-motivated and passionate, delivering to the highest standards
Tenacious problem solver, actively uncovering and resolving issues and focusing on improving efficiency
Fluent in English, ability to communicate and work closely with stakeholders at all levels
Excellent listener and ability to focus and simplify diverse information streams
