Job Title: Senior IT Procurement Manager
Location: Geneva, Switzerland
Position Overview:
An anonymous client based in Geneva is seeking an experienced Senior IT Procurement Manager to lead and oversee their IT procurement operations. The role involves managing a team of three procurement specialists, handling supplier relationships, and driving procurement strategies for IT licenses, time and material contracts, and major IT projects. The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of relevant experience, a proven ability to manage significant budgets, and fluency in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and manage a team of three IT procurement specialists, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT licenses, time and material services, and large-scale projects.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Oversee negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluations of key IT vendors and suppliers.
- Budget Oversight: Manage and optimize significant budgets, ensuring cost control and alignment with financial objectives.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with local regulations, internal policies, and contractual obligations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and departments to understand needs and align procurement processes with business goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance procurement processes, leveraging data analytics and market trends.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in IT procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation, preferably in a corporate or multinational environment.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex procurement operations.
- Financial Acumen: Proven experience handling large budgets and delivering cost-effective solutions.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT contracts, licensing agreements, and procurement best practices.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken); and French
- Education: A degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field. Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable.
