Senior Java Architect - private banking

Your mission:

To reinforce the Synechron Switzerland team, we are looking for a passionate Java Technical Architect. Our mission is for one of our clients, a Private Bank in Geneva.

In this role, you will be responsible for mentoring a Java development team, overseeing the design and development of complex applications, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Your responsibilities:

• Coaching a team of Java developers;
• Designing and maintaining high-performance, scalable Java applications;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, designing, and shipping new features;
• Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications;
• Identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fix bugs;
• Helping maintain code quality, organization, and automation;
• Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our software remains current and competitive.

Your profile and skills:

• You justify a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field;
• You have proven experience as a Java Technical Lead or similar role;
• You possess minimum 3 years of experience as a Java back-end; development and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.);
• You are experienced in DevOps practices and tools for modern continuous integration stacks (GIT and/or Bamboo);
• You show working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and in data distribution mechanisms (MQSeries; Kafka);
• You possess knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch) and storage product (Redis);
• You show basic knowledge in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript);
• You possess hands-on experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.);
• You show a familiarity with microservices architecture;
• You possess excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex challenges.
• You have experience with Agile development methodologies;
• You speak English and French;
• You are a Swiss resident.
