Senior Investment Advisor
Client:
A well-established private bank boutique with a small but growing office in Geneva (fully regulated Swiss subsidiary - category 5 (FINMA). In Geneva for over 30 years and a strong shareholder behind. An entrepreneurial working atmosphere, this financial institution has very good quality work and clients as well as high standards. The company has been offering traditional private banking services to its clients for many years and is a highly respected brand worldwide.
Position:
We are looking for a Senior Investment Advisor to join our Client's Advisory team. Responsibilities to include:
- Regular market monitoring
- Recommending investments in equities, bonds and funds, either by analysing each instrument or by preparing lists
- Preparation of investment proposals according to profile
- Regular review of instruments, recommended proposals and client portfolios
- Recommending strategies or transactions for clients
- Generating investment ideas through investment instruments or products to be structured
- Providing support to account managers by presenting/commenting on market developments, explaining proposals and, in some cases, intervening directly with clients
- Participating in and contributing to the investment committee
Profile:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree as well as higher education in financial markets
- Over 8 years' experience in private banking and asset management
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar or comparable position in Switzerland as a generalist investment advisor (cross-assets, non-discretionary business)
- Solid knowledge of all financial instruments
- Thoroughness and good organisational skills
- An international mind set
- At ease as part of a small structure, as a collaborative team player, happy to work closely with the relationship managers
- Fluent in French and English
- Open to a full-time office based role with very occasional travel (although not frequent); no home office
- Already in possession of Swiss work visa or equivalent ("frontalier" OK)
