AliveDx is looking for a Senior Facility Technician to join our Site & Manufacturing department based in Eysins, Switzerland. This is a full-time and permanent position.

Senior Facility Technician

YOUR MISSION

Reporting to the Team Leader, Facility and EHS Management, you will be part of the team to maintain the site services in a continual state of operational readiness. You will follow, update and create procedures/SOP to maintain all facility equipment running, to produce MosaiQTM microarrays.

More precisely, your main responsibilities will include:

Ensure the daily business

  • Provide immediate support for any breakdown in the site services
  • Intervene in case of equipment's breakdowns
  • Monitor the safe operation control and maintenance of facilty equipment in accordance with established procedures to minimize delays to work programs and ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct all duties in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and appropriate regulatory requirements
  • Establish and maintain excellent levels of cleanliness and housekeeping

Ensure the Maintenance & Calibration activities

  • Maintain and calibrate equipment, in accordance with agreed procedures, ensuring equipment is operating correctly per qualified process
  • Establish and maintain accurate and legible records to ensure relevant laboratory documentation is kept in a satisfactory condition
  • Check, control and maintain work environments according to the requirements of GMP and relevant Health and Safety policies contributing to the maintenance of agreed standards
  • Manage preventive maintenance plans and obtain updated service contracts
  • Become versatile and able to maintain, calibrate and repair all Facility equipment

Master training

  • Train AliveDx staff in the field of specialty
  • Be the main contact for the on-call team members
  • Drive and actively participate in the review / update of procedures, and any other relevant documents
  • Undertake and participate in continuous training and assessment, in accordance with personal development plan
  • Maintain excellent levels of cleanliness and housekeeping

Become a technical expert on equipment / processes

  • Become the technical expert for his/her areas of responsibility and lead all maintenance, calibration and change activities on that equipment
  • Update, create or support in the creation of the documentation related to facility equipment
  • Complete, review and update the relevant Health and safety risk assessments for the equipment under your responsibility
  • Maintaining and raising requisitions for spares and essentials spare parts
  • Follow up and resolve non-conformances and break down investigations for his/her area
  • To propose and proactively drive and participate on improvements to be done on his/her area of expertise

Specific activities required

  • Define and follow projects as required to ensure continuous improvement/development of products and processes in the field of specialty
  • Raise non-conformances and change controls as required for your areas of responsibility
  • Support validation team in the field specialty, by creating validation plans, execution and reporting
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably requested from the Company from time to time
  • Participate actively in group meetings when required
  • It is expected that in the future this role will operate on a rotating shift pattern which will include day, evening, night and weekend working. The employee will be compensated appropriately when working hours to this pattern start.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • Technician ES or relevant work experience with building services
  • Ideally: trained on OIBT, AUTOCAD/BIM, ELPRO Monitoring and LEAN manufacturing knowledge
  • Experience maintaining and operating an industrial scale building HVAC system (heating, ventilation and air conditioning)
  • Expertise in monitoring, self-control and automatized alert systems
  • Expertise in water systems (purified, chilled, heat exchange, neutralization, handling)
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in clean rooms classified ISO8/7
  • Must have sound knowledge of IT packages i.e. MS Office and used drawing programs
  • Regular use of Visual display unit equipment's
  • Strong technical writing to document Maintenance & Calibration procedures
  • Extensive experience to investigate in case of technical problem and ability to propose corrective and/or preventive actions in case of non-conformance
  • A strong asset: GMP experience and fire protection and alarming knowledge
  • Team player with ability to work under pressure paying attention to details
  • Ability to take initiatives and pro-active in task deployment
  • Fluent in French and good command of English
