As a DevOps Engineer Robotics your work on the end-to-end toolchain from development, building, testing to deployment of our software on to robots. You bring hands-on DevOps expertise into a highly skilled team of robotics and software specialists. Join our newly established team within Hexagon's Innovation Hub and make your visions come true!
- Work across the whole stack of our development and infrastructure tooling. Your work directly contributes to the project's success and the team's development speed.
- Focus on the following areas: the base OS layer (Nix) and developer tooling, CI/CD pipeline (cloud and local), IT resources automation and orchestration (automating setup via ansible and virtualization), ML Ops (cloud and local)
- Work on hardware in the loop test infrastructure; helping maintain a simulation environment & in the future collaborate on production cloud deployments.
- Independently collaborate with the engineering team to identify the needs and drive a DevOps roadmap.
- Write code mostly in Python, Nix & shell/bash script on Linux.
- Work within an agile environment where we aim to iterate fast and learn with each iteration. You are part of an R&D with startup spirit in a globally active company.
- Degree in Computer Science or similar with several years of industry experience
- You are fluent in writing code in Python, Shell/Bash and are familiar with Nix. You have some experience in C++/CMake.
- You have a proactive attitude and strive to organize your sub-teams work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- You bring experience in the areas of cloud and local CI/CD , docker, container orchestration/deployments and cloud infrastructure (preferably on Azure)
- You are interested in small/embedded devices (Linux) and hardware and related interfaces to devices such as camera, sensors and actuators
- You like to work independently and hands-on
- Proficiency in English, German is an advantage (official working language is English)
