Our vision at the Data Center of Excellence is to serve as a compass in the vast universe of data. We are organized across six data core competencies, and you would be joining the Performance Analytics team, where we go beyond headline performance metrics. As a senior data analyst, you will represent our services to internal stakeholders. Embracing ambiguity as an opportunity, you will recommend a direction of travel and bring others onboard. You'll identify key business drivers amidst the sea of information and focus business attention where it matters.

Tasks:
  • Conduct in-depth analyses across all aspects of the business to measure and improve performance, efficiency, and bottom line. Take end-to-end accountability for the analytical process, from understanding the business question and gathering the data to applying appropriate analytical approaches and extracting reliable data evidence, delivering actionable insights and recommendations
  • Prototype performance metrics and create interim reports to support commercial steering efforts
  • Lead projects to consolidate the fragmented performance reporting ecosystem by defining a vision, formulating a roadmap, and guiding a team of externals to introduce improvements while minimizing business interruption
  • Track and explain past performance, provide relevant commentary and forward-looking guidance, and present analyses to a wide audience of stakeholders
  • Consult on performance metrics and data governance, enforcing compliance with a single source of truth. Understand and visualize business processes, data lineage, and data quality, liaising with other data competence teams to strengthen our data ecosystem
  • Regularly engage with various stakeholders, representing our team's services and proposing creative ways to maximize business value given data complexity and other constraints
  • Drive excellence initiatives to introduce innovative methods for enhancing our efficiency and effectiveness, staying at the cutting edge of our data specialization
Requirements:
  • University degree in a quantitative or numerical subject (such as economics, mathematics, or statistics)
  • Minimum of six years of experience in the data analytics and reporting domain, with at least three years managing business demand for data analytics and reports. Proven experience in leading data and report projects while enforcing data governance and managing change
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a strong knowledge of basic statistics, other analytical techniques, data visualization, and effective storytelling
  • Advanced SQL coding skills and experience across different databases, data models, and domains. Proficient in programming with R or Python and experienced in developing with QlikSense
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of presenting complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-starter with a structured approach to solving complex problems, eager to acquire new skills, and able to deliver reliably in a high-pressure environment
  • Extraordinary motivation and passion for helping senior leaders understand complex performance dynamics and maintain focus
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; fluency in German is a plus
