Senior Application Integration Engineer Description
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Application Integration Engineer to work on a project for our prestigious client in the luxury goods industry.
This crucial onsite role in Geneva involves the development and support of application integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity and functionality across various platforms. As a Senior Application Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing self-service APIs, developing inter-application interfaces and participating in architecture meetings to meet the emerging needs of the dynamic business environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and facilitate the usage of self-service APIs for enhanced application integration
- Develop and support robust inter-application interfaces to ensure uninterrupted business processes
- Collaborate with project teams to understand their needs and requirements, translating these into actionable solutions
- Engage actively in architecture meetings, contributing to the design and improvement of system architectures
- Monitor and maintain the integration platform, ensuring its optimal performance and reliability
- Provide support during operational on-call services to address and resolve critical issues as they arise
Requirements
- An Engineering degree in Applied Sciences or an equivalent qualification
- Proficiency in application integration and API management with hands-on experience in technologies such as MuleSoft, Apache Camel, Axway, REST, SOAP, OData, webDAV
- Expertise in message queuing technologies including RabbitMQ, AMQP, MQTT
- Strong development skills in Java, Maven, Spring Boot and front-end technologies like Angular
- Experience in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, familiarity with Linux environments
- Proficient with DevSecOps tools including GitLab, XLdeploy and Jira
- Solid understanding of complex distributed systems, microservices architectures, cloud and hybrid infrastructure setups
- Ability to understand business issues and propose viable technical solutions
- Proficiency in French at least at C1 level is a must
- Fluent English language skill at B2 level is needed
