About the Role
The company is searching for a Security Engineer to join their team at one of their locations (Kriens or Matzingen). This is a newly created position, and the successful candidate will play a key role in identifying security vulnerabilities and implementing effective security measures across their complex technological landscape.
- Responsibilities include proactively identifying security gaps, conducting penetration testing, ensuring secure data exchange, and managing identity and access control.
- The candidate will contribute to maintaining high security standards and achieving ISO 27001 certification.
- They will support the IT infrastructure team in managing and upgrading systems, including components like Azure Cloud, VMware, and Windows Server.
- Developing automation solutions using PowerShell to improve the efficiency of the Windows environment is also part of the role.
- The position may also involve assisting with maintaining Oracle and MSSQL databases and participating in monitoring and logging activities.
- Additionally, the candidate may collaborate with the development department to expand Kubernetes clusters as part of their DevOps initiatives.
Qualifications
- A degree in systems engineering or a related field is required.
- The candidate must have extensive experience as a systems engineer with a focus on security.
- Experience leading complex security projects is a plus.
- Certification in cybersecurity or relevant security training is preferred.
- A strong understanding of system landscapes with technologies like Windows OS, VMware, Azure Cloud, Oracle, MSSQL, and PowerShell scripting is essential.
- The ideal candidate is a team player with an interest in DevOps culture.
- A passion for security and a commitment to diverse systems engineering tasks are required.
- Strong drive and problem-solving skills to identify and address security threats are necessary.
