JOB PURPOSE
Index Ventures is a well-established venture capital firm with offices in London, San Francisco, New York, Geneva and Jersey, investing in technology-enabled companies with a focus on e-commerce, fintech, mobility, gaming, infrastructure/AI and security.
To strengthen the Operations Team, they are looking for a Reporting & Analytics [Senior Analyst / Associate].
The objective of the role is to help super-charge the Reporting & Analytics function, driving efficiencies and increased data-driven decision-making for the firm. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand the architecture and relationship between our investment activity and reporting systems
- Produce quarterly reports, capital account statements, and fund dashboards
- Review financial statements and cash flows to ensure consistency with other deliverables
- Support portfolio company valuation
- Lead quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Synthesize portfolio company performance information to support the year-end audit of the funds
- Identify and enable continuous improvements to meet the needs of the firm over time. Includes supporting upcoming system implementation project
- Answer ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders
COMPETENCIES (Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience)
Education & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in finance, economics, engineering or business preferred
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Significant experience with Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of financial accounting
- Experience working in and querying databases. Knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Experience working with MacOS is a plus

- Outstanding attention to detail and willing to take ownership for the quality of information prepared
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Ability to critically appraise processes and reports and identify improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (complete fluency or native speaker required)
