We are looking for as soon as possible for a Principal Data Scientist, as additional support for our outstanding Development Team in Switzerland/ Zürich (remote). In this very interesting role, you will be able to actively shape our product and integrate your ideas and thereby contribute to the success of Luware.

As a Principal Data Scientist in the Luware Nimbus Application team, you will work with business and AI leaders as well as internal business users and Partners to understand, explore and develop AI/ML solutions to solve their business needs.

Your responsibilities

• Focus on particular aspects of our product, developing extensive knowledge in the domain and technical framework, notably in Large Language Models (LLM), and play a role in advancing product development through ongoing awareness of industry trends and technologies
• Assess business needs and integrate research to achieve business objectives. Your role involves guiding the selection of data to address issues strategically, leveraging your expertise to design, measure and build AI applications to drive tangible business results.
• Record ongoing work and experimental findings, sharing them to encourage innovation.
• Assess the effectiveness of models and collaborate with product teams to design AI-driven experiences
• You'll be involved in the onboarding process for new team members early in their careers, providing guidance and support as they join the team, and also assisting in coaching and mentoring other team members
• Cultivate a supportive and inclusive team culture, offering technical guidance to fellow team members and serving as a mentor

Your skills

• Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
• OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
• OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 10+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
• OR equivalent experience
• Experience with design and implementation of enterprise-scale services
• Experience in developing, debugging, and supporting code in object-oriented languages and database querying languages
• Experience with building infrastructure using Microsoft Azure technology like Service Fabric, App Service, Docker
• Experience in developing and debugging product and test code within a micro-services architecture
