Postdoctoral Researcher in Clinical Psychology (80-100%)

The University of Lucerne is a modern, personal and dynamic human sciences university at the heart of Switzerland and Europe. In keeping with our guiding principle 'Moving Human Sciences', we focus on people and their institutions with our six faculties and two academies, soon to be joined by two university research centres. Our aim is to develop the University of Lucerne into a pioneering, internationally visible centre for research and teaching in the human sciences.

The new Faculty of Behavioural Sciences and Psychology complements the human sciences profile of the University of Lucerne. It strives to distinguish itself through innovative projects that bolster professional care in Switzerland and elevate Lucerne's international standing as a research centre. The new degree programme in psychology starts in autumn 2024.

The division of Clinical Psychology investigates determinants and interventions of mental health across various settings, age groups, and target populations. Our focus is on the personalization of interventions, within a transdiagnostic framework. Methodologically, we utilize digital interventions, clinical trials, as well as ambulatory and experimental methods.

Tasks

• Planning, coordinating, and implementing research projects
• Assisting in management of lab activities, including training and supervising of staff and students
• Dissemination of research findings in international journals
• Presentation of research findings at national/international conferences
• Participation in national and international collaborations
• Teaching activities, including seminars and supervision of theses
• Grantsmanship activities

Requirements

• PhD in psychology – or completed by January 2025
• Interest in helping to establish the new division
• Excellent written and spoken English and German
• Excellent statistical skills, with an interest in learning newer procedures
• Experience conducting empirical studies
• Psychotherapy experience
• A prosocial, team player, with very good people and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and reliably
