The successful applicant will work closely with the head of the Quantitative Methods unit, Prof. Dr. Charles Driver, and the research team. This position is primarily research oriented but also involves some teaching, statistical consulting, and supervision of bachelors and masters students.

Your responsibilities
The successful applicant will work closely with the head of the Quantitative Methods unit, Prof. Dr. Charles Driver, and the research team. This position is primarily research oriented but also involves some teaching, statistical consulting, and supervision of bachelors and masters students.
Research Focus: Our research focuses on developing and applying advanced quantitative methods in psychology. The focus of the postdoc is quite flexible, and could range from heavily empirical to primarily conceptual / statistical. Specific areas of interest include:
- Longitudinal and dynamic systems modelling
- Software development for psychological research
- Model fit assessment for complex models
- Machine learning for longitudinal data
- Large-scale model development, possibly leveraging large language models
Your profile
- A PhD in psychology, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline
- Experience with psychological or related research
- Excellent methodological skills
- Proficiency in programming language/s (e.g., R, Python, Julia, C++)
- Very good command of English
- Experience with publishing in international journals
Additionally, it would be beneficial to have:
- Experience with statistical consulting
- Proficiency in German
