Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Health Ethics and Policy Lab
We are pleased to announce the opening of a post-doctoral position in the Health Ethics and Policy lab at ETH Zurich.
The Health Ethics and Policy lab has expertise in bioethics, philosophy, social science, medicine, public health, data science, policy and law. We pursue high-?level scholarship, participate in international research & policy networks, and conduct public engagement activities. The lab focuses on ethical and policy challenges in rapidly evolving areas of biomedicine. We aim to identify and tackle these challenges through an interdisciplinary approach fostering both theoretical and empirical methods.
This post-doctoral position offers a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research at the intersection of ethics, public health and the governance of emerging technologies, with a particular focus on digital health and artificial intelligence.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Conduct innovative research in the field of bioethics, with a focus on digital health and artificial intelligence
- Contribute to the analysis and development of policies and ethical guidelines related to the integration of emerging technologies in healthcare
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex challenges at the intersection of health, technology, and ethics
- Publish research findings in reputable academic journals and present at relevant conferences
- You have a Doctoral degree and a background in one or more of these areas: bioethics, law, public health, health policy, medicine computer science, data science, IT or a related field
- Strong research skills, ideally with experience in at least one of the following empirical research approaches: survey methodology, qualitative methods such as interviewing or focus groups, ethnography or other approaches to empirical bioethics
- A demonstrated interest in the ethical implications of digital health and artificial intelligence in healthcare
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, the working language of our team
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and interdisciplinary research environment
