Laser Machining Field Service Technician 100% (m/w/d)
Our client, a pioneer in the field of high-precision tooling machines equipped with powerful software, is currently seeking a talented Laser Machining Field Service Technician. These state-of-the-art systems are crucial for manufacturing cutting-edge products such as smartphones, tablets, aircraft, cars, and medical devices. With a global presence and a workforce of over 400 employees, our client continues to expand, recently establishing a new technical office in Porto (Gueifães, Maia) in 2023 to support their development.
After an intensive six-month training period at the head office in Landeron, Switzerland-during which there will be opportunities to return to Portugal for several weekends-the successful candidate will be equipped to undertake the following responsibilities:
- Install machines and provide after-sales service for our client's European customers.
- Conduct mechanical checks on axis mechanics and validate machine functions.
- Perform on-site mechanical diagnostics and component replacements at customer premises.
- Engage in electrical and laser diagnostics and calibration.
- Ensure machine calibration and setup for production.
- Provide support through hotlines, follow-up services, and reporting.
Profile Required:
- Holds a degree in a technical field such as electronic engineering, automated engineering, manufacturing engineering, or micromechanics.
- Willingness to travel mainly throughout Europe and Switzerland, with travel comprising 70% of the time.
- Proficient knowledge of CNC turning tools.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Independent worker with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Possession of a full driving license.
- Familiarity with CAD and CAM software is advantageous.
- Understanding of laser technology and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
