The launch Excellence Manager plays a critical role in clarifying the room to improve to ensure success of upcoming new products.
2 Role & Responsibility:
- This position solidly reports to the Associate Director, Marketing Excellence, Japan.
- This position will be a window role to regional stakeholders as Japan representative of Launch Excellence Manager.
- The Launch Excellence manager is a “connector” between Business Unit (BU) marketing leads and other relevant processes to enable seamless launch readiness.
- The Launch Excellence Manager oversees project progress and makes recommendations that enable compliant, efficient, and effective execution of product launch preparation across Janssen’s portfolio to support a successful launch of many new products.
3 About the Job
3.1 Launch project management
- Support NPI (cross-functional launch readiness team) for the operation.
- Facilitate timely and accurate inputs into the launch readiness tool for real-time progress tracking and flag areas for deep dives.
- Enable NPIs to set up, track, and communicate on launch readiness progress through the development of dashboards, KPIs/metrics, and reports that reflect readiness and leading indicators of launch success.
- Collaborate and communicate closely with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain team, and Medical Affairs
- Assist and influence respective BU Marketing leads to ensure key deliverables and best outcomes to launch readiness workstreams respectively.
3.2 Coordinate Launch Plan Review Process
- Establish a review process and ensure it is consistent.
3.3 Support Brand Strategy Development
- Support BU Marketing Leads to formulate/elaborate the plan with a compelling storyline.
- Deliver training sessions, workshops, and coaching to help teams understand and adopt the Vx framework.
3.4 Create Knowledge Library
- Establish a platform that enables BU Marketing Leads to smoothly and effectively carry out tasks related to a launch readiness of new products by consolidating all the necessary procedures, tools, and materials for the preparation of new product launches in one place.
3.5 LEx Enhancement
- Creates/consolidates dashboards, KPIs/metrics, and reports on launch planning progress and the portfolio and provides actionable insights and recommendations to achieve launch readiness at key milestones.
- Identify lessons learned from each launch and share th em across therapeutic areas and assets.
- Distills lessons learned from each launch including pinpointing impactful deliverables and relevant timing to enable effective launches.
- Identify areas of improvement, and develop and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and collaboration.
