Position: Java Developer

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join a dynamic team at one of our clients in the Geneva Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining new and existing data-driven applications for employees in the Geneva Area. Key responsibilities include providing architectural guidance, technical expertise, recommendations, and innovative solutions. This role involves conducting code reviews, software testing as needed, and participating in application architecture and design. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, be customer-oriented, and have solid experience in backend development.

Missions:

• work with business stakeholders and other dev teams in order to finalize the requirements, and propose appropriate architecture with the help of the team
• work on technical evolution tasks - tech debt recovery, technical migrations to more resilient architecture
• integrating new data source from new data providers into the existing system
• work on maintenance and bug fix tasks, including helping the team for operational requests/issues
• fluent in English (distributed team, main communication language is English)
• solid knowledge of Java Core (Java versions from 8 up to 17. 21 is a plus)
• Reactive programming: RxJava, Project Reactor
• Spring
• Relational database (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• testing/CI (JUnit5, Jenkins)
• deep understanding of software design principles
• Experience in securities trading area
• Domain Driven Design (experience with FinTech domain is a plus)
• Fast learning
• Ability to autonomously collaborate with other teams (business, IT, dev)
• Good communication and analytical skills (would help to define projects)
• In possession OR eligible * for a work permit.
