JOB SUMMARY

The Solutions Engineer II provide detailed support to lead project teams and development personnel as functional needs are mapped to existing standardized platforms and development patterns that allow to faster delivery with consistent support and operational stability. Expertise in technical and business functions will guide rapid design of solutions for new systems and enhancements to existing systems. Consult on the development of emerging technology roadmaps; reducing time to delivery, creating design best practices, availability, and cost reductions.

• Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Ensure proper translation of the client’s needs into technology solutions.
• Review documents, including project charters, functional requirements, non-functional requirements and high-level designs to ensure use for implementation.
• Interface with the enterprise architecture team and other functional areas to ensure that the most efficient solution is designed to meet business needs.
• Work in close collaboration with the business to validate the request based off the business requirements.
• Provide inputs into functional and technical design with respect to resiliency, scalability, and supportability.
• Assist in creation of internal IT documentation and process for the teams to follow.
• Ensure effective coordination and support between business owners and supporting technical resources.
• Prepare statements of work (SOW’s) leveraging standard IT infrastructure service offerings and custom budgetary quotes for to-be new IT infrastructure service offerings.
• Ensure that proposed solutions meet the needs and functional requirements of the business.
• Participate in the technical implementation of the service request and validates each step is executed to the requirements.
• Manage team work to ensure platforms continue to adhere to performance and Service Level Objectives.
• Maintain/update technical documentation which includes architectural and connectivity diagrams.
• Maintain Technical Competency across diverse technologies (presentation, application/middleware, and database) through formalized training.
• Maintain a level of peer trust and maintain positive customer confidence.
• Conduct detailed analysis of log files and performance statistics of existing systems to identify any performance, functional or security issues. Will drive the steps needed for remediation of the issues.
• Provide support to fellow employees and partners on non-production system issues.
• Adhere to industry-specific local, state, and federal regulations as applicable.
• Know, understand and follow company policy.
