As Industrialization Leader for New Development, you will be part of a Global Product Development team and would work closely with the Product Design Lead, Hardware Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Test Engineers, Compliance Engineer, Requirement Management Responsible, PDM PLM Support Responsible, Product Manager and Chief Technical Officer to support new development activities for a faster and efficient industrialization. You will be required to work with other stakeholders such as other Industrialization team members, Procurement, Supply Chain, Test Bay, Production, Warehouse from different plants to tackle the risks and actions related to the proper incorporation of the newly developed products in the Production Lines, Testing Lines, for the targeted plants and also to establish local cost-effective manufacturing for new components and PCBs (localization). You will be responsible to make sure that all SOPs, documents, and trainings to facilitate the production and testing of the new system are finished before the product launch. You would also be responsible to schedule the production and testing of the prototypes in the production line by coordinating with the Production and Test Bay. You will report to the program manager and would require planning the industrialization activities in accordance with the Program Timeline.

Your responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Familiarize yourself with existing production and testing processes and associated tools.
  • Gain expertise on the requirement management tool and other relevant tools.
  • Stakeholder management to drive industrialization activities to support new development activities.
  • Proactively give your expertise inputs to the development team during the development phase to make sure that the developed product can be cost-effectively manufactured at local suppliers and can also be produced and assembled efficiently at the Factories.
  • Drive and support the localization or manufacturing establishment activities to make sure that all industrialization activities are finished before the final product launch and meeting the lead-time requirements.
  • Make standardized parts with the suppliers to make the order and stocking process easy.
  • Work with the Procurement and Supply Chain optimization responsible to finalize the stocking strategies for the material in different compnay plants to optimze both the cost and the lead time.
  • Work closely with the Procurement responsible to make sure that all relevant information such as lead time, bulk price, MOQ, for the new components are available and entered in the SAP ERP and other relevant tools.
  • Work closely with the New Product Marketing, PDM PLM Support, Requirement Management Responsibles, Quality to support each other and finalize the integration of the new product and associated components in the relevant tools before the launch of the product and release for normal production.
  • Coordinate with other Industrialization leaders to optimize the exisitng production and testing processes to gain efficiency and reduce the lead time for the new product range.

Your qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in electronics and industrial engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the relevant industry.
  • Lean Six Sigma minimum green belt, black belt preferred.
  • Previous working experience as an industrialization expert for power electronics and PCBs.
  • Previous experience working with suppliers and finalizing manufacturability and industrialization of new components.
  • Fast Learner with an innovative and analytical mindset.
  • Critical thinking and willingness to go extra miles to achieve the goal.
  • Ability to coordinate with different profiles and bring them to a conclusion to drive the topics in efficient manner.
  • Team player and efficient communicator.
  • Written and oral fluency in English, knowledge of German is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Knowledge of UPS Systems will be a plus.
  • Experience of working with and testing power electronic devices.
  • Experience of developing PCBs and Power electronics.
  • Project Management experience of skills.
