The Kaiseraugst site is Roche's largest production center. Process-oriented value streams and support functions collaborate with their business partners in Roche Pharmavision and work daily to efficiently provide high-quality products to patients worldwide. We focus on continuous improvement, waste reduction, and clearly defined goals and processes across all areas of the site.
As Head Engineering, Science and Technology (ES&T) you enable and empower your team to deliver our vision through embedding PTM’s new ways of working, demonstrating VACC (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst) leadership behaviours and focussing on Asset and Process Life Cycle Management, proactively reducing asset related cost, increasing their overall availability and efficiency whilst maintaining their high compliance.
You serve both, our patients and our employees in the value streams on site by developing and implementing process improvements, fostering dialogue and collaboration between global functions in development, innovation and regulatory and align across other Roche manufacturing sites. You will be part of the Site Leadership Team and report to the Site Head.
Your opportunities:
Demonstrating strong creative leadership by developing people and technical capabilities, creating an environment for optimal performance.
Driving collaboration within the site, across the network, and with global functions.
Maintaining strategic responsibility for process improvement, lean PT leadership principles, and methods at the site.
Acting as an active and visible change agent, fostering flexibility and a mindset open to new opportunities and continuous improvement.
Managing the lifecycle of all packaging components, including qualification and validation of assets.
Providing expertise and services for cleaning validation, trace analytics, and reliability engineering.
Providing calibration services and continually improving maintenance strategies, including lifecycle management.
Ownership of critical utilities, ensuring facilities are fit for purpose, including process automation and monitoring.
Oversight of site capital project management, safety, health, environment activities, process controls, and sterility assurance.
Who you are:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or science required; a graduate degree or MBA is preferred.
ver 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry, with at least 5 years in people and project management.
Dedication to serving and delighting internal and external customers, with a passion for developing people.
Experience in project management within cross-functional teams and strong leadership skills in a matrix organization.
Familiarity with manufacturing and business processes, a forward-thinking digital mindset, and a proven track record in technology leadership for driving innovation.
Ability to think strategically, translate strategies into actionable plans, assertiveness in a global environment, and excellent communication skills in German and English for effective influence across all organizational levels.
