Digital Analytics Manager

Your Mission

As the Digital Analytics, you will report to the Digital Director and continue building the Digital Analytics baseline and insights further, with the goal of gaining understanding of the Online Conversion Funnel and increase Digital Sales.

In your role, you will have the unique opportunity to build and shape Digital Analytics from scratch and play a key role in the success of Digital at Salt. You will build, identify, analyse, visualize dynamic dashboards and deliver insightful reports that translate the most important data into actionable improvements across our websites. Moreover, you will lead relevant digital analytics projects and the implementation with several departments across the company, especially collaborating with IT and Marketing departments.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Build Digital Analytics: build the foundation of Digital Analytics. Implement the needed analytical approach with the ultimate goal of boosting online sales and improving the user experience, by focusing on key conversion funnel KPIs and gaining a deep understanding of customer behaviours on our websites & platforms across all brands.
  • Deliver insights on Digital Analytics: conduct daily assessments of sales performance, traffic data, and digital paid campaigns data, among others, and share the findings to provide performance insights and guide decision-makers
  • Visualize digital KPIs: build effective and dynamic dashboards of the KPIs that explain and drive digital sales using reporting tools such as Google Looker. These dashboards should help the team understand the main drivers of digital sales as well as identify any conversion path blockers.
  • Drive enhancement of digital infrastructure together with the IT department: collaborate closely with the IT department to enhance our digital infrastructure, including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, data structures, and other tools to better understand the performance of our conversion path.
  • Define tags needed (and why) and follow-up on their implementation: definition of tags required to understand the user behaviour online (and why they are needed from a business & user perspective), including collaboration with legal and customer data privacy departments, as well as IT department for implementation in GTM
  • Lead and manage projects: lead and coordinate as the representative of Analytics in the Digital Team all projects with impact on digital analytics, such as the implementation of new analytical tools or digital infrastructure. In close collaboration with several departments and especially with the IT team.
  • Prepare and communicate data-driven insights: Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly summary analyses to highlight key insights and disseminate knowledge within the company by presenting those insights to the team and key stakeholders.
  • Deliver in-depth studies or deep-dive analysis: undertake specific research studies or deep-dive into complex situations, spotlighting valuable learnings.
  • Document Digital Analytics: build documentation of the data structure, data processes, new tags requested, among others, as you build the future of Digital Analytics.

Your Profile

We are looking for new team colleague with a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, drive to initiative, autonomy, and excellent project & time management skills, who enjoys working and driving as a team in a very fast and dynamic environment.

These are the core skills we are looking for:

  • Educational background: Degree in Engineering, IT, Data Science, Mathematics or related fields
  • Experience: at least 5 years of experience in managing digital analytics in a consumer faced e-commerce environment. Telecommunications experience (or subscription-based business) is an asset.
  • Strong technical acumen: Proficiency in PowerQuery and Excel. SQL knowledge is a significant asset.
  • Digital analytics proficiency: Expert in Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager. Deep understanding of tags, pixels, data layers, and Google Tag Manager. Experience with and knowledge of further digital analytics tools is an asset.
  • Data analytics: ability to manipulate large datasets and perform complex analysis, as well as to present & report the key insights of those analysis.
  • Data visualization: proficiency in visualizing data in tools such as Google Looker, Tableau or PowerBI. Ability to create dynamic dashboards to display key actionable insights for decision-makers.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Digital KPIs: strong understanding of digital KPIs and digital channels, such as the key metrics in digital marketing and website metrics that impact conversion and customer experience.
  • Solid project & time management skills: experience in leading and managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic and fast environment. In leading these projects, ability to adapt to different audiences & background to drive initiatives forward. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. JIRA) and agile methodologies is an asset.
  • Agile personality: ability to manage several projects, initiative, analysis at the same time, and ability to change from one task to another quickly.
  • Ownership and end2end execution: ability and will to drive projects end2end, from definition to execution to analysis of results. Ability to anticipate business needs and problems, and deliver solutions for them.
  • Collaborative mindset: A genuine team player who can advocate for their ideas while respecting diverse opinions. Ability to collaborate and execute projects working with colleagues across all departments and levels.
  • Customer orientation and obsession: customer-oriented personality who is able to look at any situation from a customer perspective, almost obsessed to improve the user experience online with a focus on sustainable solutions.
  • Hands-on: Fun in getting “hands dirty” and take over tasks that might not be “in the job description”
  • Language skills: English is a must, proficiency in French or German is an advantage.
